The data you provide via this survey is used to add you to the “expert register” of the Bayes Centre. The purpose of this register is to build a community of people with skills in data science, AI, and other related areas so that you can be contacted with relevant opportunities. Supplying your information here does not imply any concrete commitment to contribute to specific activities, it only gives us permission to contact you, by e-mail, with information about opportunities we think you might be interested in.

By completing this survey, you also agree to be added to the bayes-info mailing list (https://www.ed.ac.uk/bayes/contact-us/mailing-list) and to receive the Bayes newsletter and further occasional mailings from the Bayes Centre.

The Bayes Centre processes the personal data of our internal and external stakeholders in order to communicate and raise awareness of relevant opportunities, news and events. The information you provide will be used by Bayes to: 

• Promote news, events and opportunities regarding the Centre
• Provide you with information and the promotion of Bayes Centre benefits and services

We are currently using information about you because you have previously indicated your interest to be added to our newsletter mailing list and the Bayes Expert Register. We will hold the personal data you provided us for as long as you are a subscriber, however, you can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of our newsletter email or by contacting bayes.reception@ed.ac.uk        

We do not use profiling or automated decision-making processes.
