Page 1: Survey Introduction and Information

Hi. We are interested in finding out about your understanding and concerns around care experienced young people's use of online spaces, in particular social media.

The information we receive will be used to inform the development of resources to help practitioners and carers better understand the importance of social media to young people’s mental health and wellbeing and to help find ways to address any risks with them.

This survey that you are about to take part in will include a range of closed and open ended questions linked to the above themes. You only need to answer questions that you are comfortable with.  All the information you provide will be completely anonymous and confidential.

The data we gather will be analysed by the research team at the University of Edinburgh and combined with additional research data to inform the development of resources. The research forms part of a broader study, entitled ‘Care leaver relationships, mental health and online spaces’, funded by eNurture and in partnership with the Dean and Cauvin Young People's Trust. The project has been approved by the School of Social and Political Sciences Board of Ethics.
