Sleep Problems during the Covid-19 Pandemic: mitigating the risk of future morbidity and mortality in the population

We would like to invite you to participate in a study being carried out at the Department of Sleep Medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to find out how the current pandemic situation is affecting individuals worldwide. This questionnaire will take 15 minutes to complete.

We welcome anyone over 18 years of age to take part in this research to provide an important insight into the effects of a pandemic situation, social distancing and worldwide lockdown. The following questionnaire will ask you about your current situation and how you have been impacted by the pandemic.

There is an opportunity in the study to participate in follow-up questionnaires for us to understand how these effects change over time while in lockdown and in subsequent stages of lifting lockdown. If you choose to take part in the follow-up research, your email will be collected, stored and accessed by the study co-ordinators, Kelsea Stewart and Dr. Renata Riha.

We are offering a £100 lucky draw for all that complete this initial questionnaire and a second £100 lucky draw for those that complete the follow-up questionnaires. To be auto-enrolled into the draw, please enter your email address at the end of the questionnaire.

By continuing in this questionnaire you are giving consent to the collection of your data for the following research.

Following completion of the study, your personal data will be destroyed and all data will remain anonymous. The anonymous data will be used in subsequent analysis and for publication purposes.

You may withdraw from the study at any time by emailing kelsea.stewart@ed.ac.uk
