1.1. EASTBIO DTP is committed to promoting, developing and consolidating an inclusive and supportive environment, free from unfair discrimination in all its practices, from recruitment to research provision to training, and to enabling staff and students to fulfil their full potential. The information applicants are asked to provide here is required for monitoring and anonymised reporting purposes (as requested by our funder UKRI BBSRC). To this end, your unique “Receipt number” will be used for post-recruitment data processing and reporting on equality, diversity and inclusion. This will only be accessible by restricted administrative and programme staff. This information will NOT be made available to those engaged in EASTBIO application shortlisting and interviews. However we will flag application numbers where they indicate an applicant is from an underrepresented group in our cohorts to date (postcodes indicating low participation in higher education; age over 30; BME; disabled) to our recruitment panel chairs, without giving details of the reason for a flag. Where flagged, this would only be used to prioritise one interview place or award over another in a situation at interview or studentship allocation post interview where two candidates are equally ranked. For information about how we will process your personal data, please see our privacy statement here: http://www.eastscotbiodtp.ac.uk/. Your help in the collection of this data is very much appreciated. Should you have any questions in relation to this form, please email enquiries@eastscotbiodtp.ac.uk.
